Visit our https://scf.edu/Administration/HumanResources/Benefits/default.asp for benefit details Job Summary The 26 West Entrepreneurship Center is dedicated to developing people, growing businesses, and driving our local economy. It includes a suite of seven business services that support local entrepreneurs and small business owners and provide experiential learning for SCF students. Business units include the Business Growth Lab, Student Incubator, Entrepreneurship Academy, Personal Branding Lab, The Digital Collective, Creative Studio, and Meeting Facilitation (Events). The Financial and Business Support Coordinator will support the Center by processing financial paperwork and ensuring accuracy (invoices, purchase orders, etc.) and providing operational support to ensure the smooth functioning of the 26 West Entrepreneurship Center. Applicants may be asked to demonstrate any or all of the following duties: Financial Management and Reconciliation • Record and reconcile all revenue transactions by business with the Finance and Bursar's Office on a monthly basis. Oversee month-end and year-end accounting processes for all business units, ensuring financial integrity and compliance. • Manage and process purchase orders, payments for external vendors, and interdepartmental transfers, SCF Foundation grants, credit card purchases for all seven business units. • Generate and manage invoices for all 26 West clients, ensuring accuracy and timely payment. • Manage payment portals for the 26 West Entrepreneurship Center courses, ensuring accuracy and reconciliation of all payments.Operational Support • Provide operational support to the 26 West Entrepreneurship Center Director and Manager(s), including scheduling, coordinating agreements, sending reports, and managing client communications. • Proofread and review marketing proofs, ensuring accuracy before client distribution. • Maintain a master file of client agreements, coordinating with team members to ensure accuracy. • Assist with onboarding new residents of the Business Growth Lab, including managing access and onboarding processes.Center Operations • Act as the “first face” and primary contact for 26 West Center visitors, prospective clients, qualifying leads and directing them to the appropriate team member. • Manage day-to-day operations, including responding to resident inquiries, ordering supplies, and maintaining a welcoming environment for all clients and visitors. • Open and prepare the Center daily, including conference rooms, Launch Pad, and other common areas.Additional Duties • Perform other duties and projects as assigned to support the overall mission and success of the 26 West Entrepreneurship Center. • This role is integral to the financial and operational success of the 26 West Entrepreneurship Center, providing essential support to the business units and the clients they serve. Job Qualifications The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in business or related field and one or more years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working in a business environment is highly preferred. Candidate must have proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel. • Supervisory Experience: One to two years of experience as a “lead” employee responsible for coordinating with, providing direction, and communicating with internal and external stakeholders and assisting with problems, is required. • Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. • Math Ability: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. • Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to work with formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc. • Computer Skills: Must be proficient in Adobe Pro, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, QuickBooks, Canva, Outlook, and the willingness to learn new platforms, such as HubSpot, Tableau, and Canvas Catalog. • Certificates and Licenses: The employee must have a valid Florida driver's license. Responsibility for People and Property: The employee is responsible for monetary assets between $30,000 and $50,000 monthly. Responsibility for Communication: • Internal Contacts: This position has routine contact with State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota staff. • External Contacts: This position has frequent contact with 26 West Center licensees, course participants, vendors, providers, and the general public.
