Job Summary The 26 West Center, located on the State College of Florida campus in Bradenton, offers a suite of business services to entrepreneurs and small business owners. The 26 West Entrepreneurship Center is seeking entrepreneurs and small business owners to teach face-to-face interactive workshops and classes at the Entrepreneurship Academy at the 26 West Entrepreneurship Center. Candidates will teach entrepreneurs and small business owners (not traditional college students) the essentials of starting and running a small business. Small business or startup experience is required; previous teaching experience is not required. The ideal candidates are passionate about sharing their experience and helping others achieve their goals of starting and owning their own business. Salary based on 2023-2024 non-credit adjunct schedule. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Deliver workshop and class content to participants. In some cases, design and develop as well as deliver content. Examples of classes may include Entrepreneurship Essentials, Marketing and Social Media for Entrepreneurs and Small Businesses, Finance for Non-Financial Entrepreneurs, Customer Discovery, Design Thinking, Access to Capital, and Working with Investors. Job Qualifications Experience running a startup or small business; willingness and passion to share experiences and help others start and grow businesses; desire to nurture the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the Bradenton-Sarasota area Bachelor degree or business coaching experience or consulting experience preferred. Supplemental Information This is a contract position which means that candidates may choose to teach one or more workshops or classes at different times throughout the year (based on demand for the classes). Most classes are held in the evening; all are face-to-face at the 26 West Center on the SCF Bradenton campus. Most classes are 1 evening a week for 1-5 weeks in duration.
