  • About

Manatee Memorial Hospital has served Manatee County and surrounding areas for 60+ years and continues to be a provider of high quality medical services. The 319-bed acute care facility earned the ''Gold Seal of Approval'' by The Joint Commission in July, 2014. To receive and maintain this honor, a facility must undergo an extensive and rigorous on-site review at least every three years.

We offer healthcare services in a caring and compassionate environment with over 500 physicians and allied health professionals. The range of medical services includes emergency medicine, orthopedic services, outpatient and radiology services, rehabilitation, respiratory care and oncology, women and children services, along with such centers of excellence as The Manatee Heart and Vascular Center/The Valve Institute, the Surgery Center, the Stroke and Cerebrovascular Center, the Wound Care and Hyperbaric Program, the Breast Care Center and the Family BirthPlace. The hospital offers a senior program for those 50 and older. A free physician referral service is available by calling 941-708-8100.

Beyond our walls the hospital operates the Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine Center, located at 5245 33rd St. E., Ste. 32 off State Rd. 70.

In 2011, we established Manatee County?s first residency program in the primary care fields of internal medicine and family practice. The one-year Transitional Internship Program was added in 2012. Residents work with program directors and physicians at both hospital-based and ambulatory rotations. The program is approved by the American Osteopathic Association
