D Wms Diversity Group invites the community to a free, interactive learning experience as part of Remake Learning Days.

“From Africa to African American: The Legacy of Cooperative Economics” explores how communities have historically built wealth and resilience through shared economic practices rooted in African traditions and carried through the African American experience.

This family-friendly event will feature:

  • Cheryl Coleman, historian and author, presenting on the history of cooperative economics
  • Osa Atoe, ceramic pottery artist-demonstration and cultural insight
  •  Manatee County Master Gardener, providing hands-on demonstrations on soil, planting, and growing

Participants will engage in cultural learning, interactive activities, and practical discussions on community wealth-building and collaboration.

This event is designed for individuals, families, entrepreneurs, and community members interested in learning, connecting, and strengthening their communities.
