Island Gallery West Presents May's featured Artist Karen Beach

Who hasn’t been dreaming of travel these days? The Pandemic has upended our plans for vacations abroad. Until we are free to move freely about the world, Karen is revisiting her past adventures in paintings from some of her favorite places. “They say if you write about your experiences in a journal, you re-live those times, and fine-tune your memories. I feel the same way when I make a painting inspired by photos I’ve taken while traveling. Whether it’s the islands in the Caribbean, France, Italy, Thailand or Africa . . . I hope to transport you to that place and share the experience.”Come in to meet the artist in person, Thursday, May 20 — from 10 am to 5 pm.
