Event Description:
"It Takes Two” is an eclectic collection of watercolor paintings by our February Featured Artist, Karen Beach, which will be on display at Island Gallery West in Holmes Beach from February 1-28, 2023. The exhibit’s theme pays homage to the Valentine’s Day month, with a focus on TWO — paintings paired by subject matter or by color, or paintings featuring two of some of her favorite people, places and things. Visit the gallery in February and reflect on the many interpretations and combinations of “two.”
Karen has been a permanent resident of the NW Bradenton area for nearly 8 years, is a member of Island Gallery West and participates in local exhibitions. She is an active member of the Potomac Valley Watercolorists, ArtCenter Manatee and the Florida Watercolor Society. Her past careers include working for more than 25 years as a graphic designer, sole proprietor of Red Clover Design. She also taught for nine years as an adjunct professor at George Mason University’s College of Art and Design in Virginia. Please join us for an Art Walk Reception on Friday, February 10, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. Bring your friends — meet Karen and many of our artist members, enjoy drinks and bites and live music.
