Hardball Law, a law firm practicing Personal Injury, Family Law, Criminal Law. Wrongful Death and Medical Malpractice, is pleased to announce their Grand Opening, August 27th at the beautifully remodeled Palmetto Comcenter, 433 8th Ave. W., Palmetto FL from 4pm – 8pm. We will have a ribbon cutting ceremony at 6pm. Light hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be served. With a long history of service in the community, attorney Melton H. Little is a Civil Trial expert having been Board Certified by the Florida Bar as a Civil Trial lawyer from 2004 to 2019. He is also a specialist in the area of Marital and Family Law in which he was Board Certified from 1993 to 2019. As a veteran of the courtroom, he has successfully tried over 50 personal injury jury trials to verdict as well as having handled a significant number of Family Law trials and hearings. He has a passion for helping his clients and the community. Over the past three decades he has built a reputation of expertise, skill and perseverance, as recognized by his clients and his peers. Attorney Scott Kallins has practiced law in Manatee County since 1985. Throughout his career Mr. Kallins has represented clients challenged in several areas of the law including marital and family law, criminal law matters and personal injury claims. Mr. Kallins has been awarded the Manatee County Bar Association Community Service Award, the Sarasota County PAL Award, The State of Florida Commissioner of Education Outstanding Contribution to Education Award, has been nominated for the Manatee county Bar association Lifetime Achievement Award, and has been a two-time runner up for the Florida Bar Justice Harry Lee Amstead Award. The Anstead Award, presented annually to a Florida Board Certified lawyer or judge, recognizes exemplary professionalism, excellence, character, and commitment to The Florida Bar’s certification program and to the practice of law. Erin Brosious is a founder and partner at Kallins, Little, and Brosious. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida. Immediately after graduating with her Bachelor of Arts degree, she obtained an accelerated Master’s degree in Secondary English Education from University of Florida in less than a year. She began her career teaching English at a Title I School, helping underprivileged kids, and ended her teaching career in Sarasota county where she worked for eleven years teaching English in all grade levels, from drop-out prevention to college credit courses. Erin obtained a second master’s degree in 2010 in Educational Leadership from the University of South Florida. To expand her professional career and broaden her impact in her community, she earned her Juris Doctorate at Barry University School of Law, where she received the Advanced Legal Writing Book Award and was Secretary of Delta Theta Phi Law fraternity. Upon returning to Sarasota/Manatee County, her passion for public service was demonstrated not only by her devotion to adolescent literacy, but also in her capacity as an assistant public defender at the Public Defender’s office of both Manatee and Sarasota counties. Erin helped thousands of clients while working at the public defender’s office, working with clients who could not afford representation, and many of whom suffered from mental illnesses, homelessness, PTSD, and drug and alcohol dependencies. “We committed to standing up for what is right.
