Community Art Show Opening Reception

Join Big Waters Land Trust for the opening reception of our third annual Community Art Show! This juried art exhibit focuses on paintings and drawings and showcases local protected lands through the eyes of our conservation community. All art selected for inclusion was chosen by our esteemed jury without artist names attached. Jurors include artist Alicia Brown, Jamaican contemporary realist painter, renowned for her captivating work that seamlessly blends skillful technique with profound story telling; Jen Kroeger, a multi-disciplinary artist, using paint, mixed media, and textiles, she creates vibrant, uplifting abstracts that reflect her love of bold color and natural surroundings; and Christa Molinaro, the Director of Exhibitions at the Sarasota Art Museum of Ringling College of Art and Design, bringing over twenty years of experience in the museum field. During the reception, we will announce the jury-selected Best-In-Show along with three honorable mentions. Please RSVP below if you plan to attend. We hope to see you there! The exhibit will be on display at Bay Preserve from June 3, 2026 through August 31, 2026, and may be viewed Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
