Event Description:

Trauma-Informed Care:
Recognizing the presence and symptoms of trauma in the workplace

Presented by Tari Allan, Trauma Services Manager, Centerstone

The response to COVID-19 continues to present new and complicated challenges to both employers and employees.  Almost overnight, employers have transitioned entire workforces to a telework arrangement, strained to navigate complex federal programs and reimagined business plans and financial projections.

Exposure to trauma and complex stress can come from many sources over the course of a person’s life.  These stressors can have a significant impact on how a person thinks, behaves, and copes with situations.  The wide-spread impact of the COVID-19 trauma on individuals can influence the workplace by impacting how a person approaches relationships, engages in problem solving, or creates unhealthy adaptive responses to past experiences leading to behavioral health issues.

This webinar will provide insight to trauma-informed care in the workplace including the benefits to not only your employees but also your business.  Tools and tips will be provided to help you recognize the presence and symptoms of trauma in the workplace along with strategies to provide resources and support to employees.
