Thinking Money: Cheap Treats Holiday Edition (Tweens & Teens)

Looking for a resource to help your kids gain a good overview of financial basics? Take them to the new Thinking Money exhibit at Downtown Library on SAT, DEC 16 (1 to 3 PM), where they'll learn how to make affordable, healthy and holiday-themed snacks AND enter to win prizes.* UF IFAS Extension Manatee County will provide a cooking demo, and kids can make and take snacks at three stations. The 1,000-square-foot Thinking Money exhibit (which will be available until JAN 20) provides tips for tween and teens to save and spend—in a way that is not only understandable, but fun. Each child (ages 8 to 18) can fill out one entry form at each of the four related events (Cheap Treats, Don't Get Hacked, Feed the Pig and Big Bank Theory) for a chance to win passes. Prizes will be distributed the week of January 22, 2018. Winners will be notified via text, phone or email.
