The Humane Society of Manatee County is proud to present the 12th Annual Paws in Motion Walk-a-Thon  fund-raiser, which will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2018.  This year, Paws in Motion is returning to the Riverwalk in Bradenton, with the start point and end site at Caddy’s at the Pointe, located at 801 Riverside Drive E.  Registration will begin at 9 am, followed by a leisurely, one-mile walk along the Manatee River that is scheduled to begin at 10 am.  The registration fee of $25.00 includes an event t-shirt and a loaded goody bag. The Paws in Motion Walk-a-Thon is Humane Society of Manatee County’s largest fund-raiser of the year. All proceeds from the event will benefit the animals in the Humane Society of Manatee County’s Second Chance Adoption Shelter, located at 2515 14th Street W. in Bradenton.     Community residents are encouraged to register their fund-raising teams in advance by visiting the events page online at www.humanemanatee.org.    Caddy’s at the Pointe is Bradenton’s new dining and entertainment destination located on the beautiful Manatee River. Open since March 14, 2017, Caddy’s also is the proud host of this year’s Paws in Motion Walk-a-Thon.    Following the walk, there will be contests, games, prizes, fantastic vendors and live music. and attendees will have an opportunity to stroll through the expanded vendor village, visit Caddy’s at the Pointe’s dog park and enjoy a fantastic waterfront dining experience.    Paws in Motion’s featured spokes dog is Ollie, a 4-year-old Australian Shepherd, whose family was the top fund-raiser at the 2017 walk-a-thon. He has served as an ambassador for the fund-raiser since last year. Your pup could be the Paws in Motion spokes dog for 2019 if you raise the most funds at this year’s walk! Humane Society of Manatee County is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that relies on donations and support from the community to fund our mission of saving lives four paws at a time.  Humane Society of Manatee County Veterinary Clinic, located at 2415 14th Street W., is Manatee County’s high volume spay and neuter clinic. The veterinary clinic is open to the public, offering low to-moderate cost veterinary services.
