Lakewood Ranch Medical Center — Freestanding ER Groundbreaking Ceremony

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center will host a groundbreaking ceremony for a new freestanding emergency department in Sarasota County on Tuesday, January 21. We invite everyone to come celebrate the construction of the new facility with us. Refreshments will be provided. The Sarasota facility will be a full-service emergency department, providing emergency care to those in need 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It will be located on the east side of Interstate 75 at 6750 Fruitville Road, Sarasota, FL 34240. The new facility is expected to open in late 2020. If you are interested in attending the groundbreaking ceremony, please RSVP by January 13, 2020. We look forward to seeing you! The new ER will feature: 10,873 square feet Full-service laboratory, X-ray, CT, ultrasound 24/7 emergency care The ER will be continuously staffed by a physician and will accept ambulances. The ER will be capable of treating all major conditions that present to an emergency room. Patients needing further treatment will be transferred to Lakewood Ranch Medical Center or another hospital of their choice.
