Event Description:
Join Sunshine Community Compost and the Sarasota Bay Estuary Program for a workshop about the benefits of composting, the soil-water connection, and how you and your neighborhood can get involved with community composting. There will be special focus on engaging Bayou Oaks neighbors due to the kick-off of the local community composting project in North Water Tower Park, but the workshop is open to all residents who want to learn more. This project is supported by the City of Sarasota and fiscally sponsored by the Sarasota Bay Estuary Program.

Sunshine Community Compost is a local 501 c 3 non-profit organization whose work is focused on strengthening community connections and giving back to the Planet through accessible education and action programs that increase local composting, resource recovery, and zero waste efforts.
